It won’t be long now, friends. My new record comes out in less than three weeks. So far the reaction to it by those who’ve heard it has been incredible. Most of you know me. You know that, as Todd Snider says, I couldn’t tell a lie if I tried and even the stories I make up are true. So when I tell you reaction is incredible I do mean incredible. No record I’ve ever put out in 22 years of this craziness has had a buzz like this one does. Will it make me rich? Trick question! I’m already rich. People love me, my wife and son love me, I had sushi today and Beth bought a roast for later this week. I have gigs on the calendar and beans on the shelf. It’s late at night so I’m going to wrap this up rather quickly. I hope you’ll run right out on 2/20 and either buy or order your own copy of “There, I Said It!” Nearer to the end of this month, the record release parties will commence, and there are more than one in more than one city. Life is good. I smoke too much and eat too little and I’m nervous all the time, I’m constantly watched by a giant hedgehog named Spiney Norman, but otherwise life is good.
